This compact inner city residence utilizes a tiny battle axe block with a very limited building envelope yet achieves a generous 3 bedroom house + an ancillary flat.  The over 9 energy star home, features recycled newspaper insulation, triple glazed windows and doors, a thermally isolated ground floor slab, EMR shielding (earthed) and natural paint, finished and joinery for a very health internal environment.  The building was designed to work off grid and is highly efficient in all aspects of the thermal envelope, selection of fixtures and fittings etc.
